Under 500 private kilometres? Prove it, trip by trip.
For people in the Netherlands with a company car. Record every trip with addresses and odometer readings, see your private kilometres for the year, and spot gaps before the Belastingdienst does.
What the rules ask
- With fewer than 500 private kilometres a year, no addition to income (bijtelling) applies, but you must be able to prove it (MKB Servicedesk).
- Record all trips: business or private, the kilometres, and the private detour on a mixed trip; at a check, the Belastingdienst asks for business addresses (Rabobank, Stolwijk).
- If the registration is not adequate, the addition applies and a fine can follow.
